For those who don't know, the gift card is simply just a refund on the credit card that you use to pay for the tv. Worked out really good for me, bc my parents let me use my cc to pay for it so I can earn the miles, then when I got the refund, they said its mine for the keeping, so win win.

Start putting these prices on greentoe tomorrow. Should match since BuyDig is one of their partners and you pay no tax.

I bought the 83inch from LG.Com for $2.6k You can try the following (YMMV)

  • Sign up as new customer and you get a 5% discount code. Or call LG directly and they will send you a 15% existing customer code ($165-$500 off)
  • If you have a Citi Card, you might be offered a 4% cash back from the merchants offer. I had this for my Citi Aadvantage card ($112)
  • Use a cash back site to get 3% off ($84)
Nice tips. For the bold, were you already an existing customer or... ? I have the 4% Citi cash back offer. When you used the cash back site- Did you click through their site first and then just pay with the Citi card?

Thx.

Can anybody explain to me what the "B" or "C" letter differences are. I don't know much about LG tv's and was curious about the big price difference on the 83 inch versions. Thanks

FYI! If you have ANY warehouse clubs around you and are a member, get it there. IF you buy it retail from anywhere else INCLUDING lg.com, you will get a crippled product. Those still have WIFI 5 and a regular magic remote. The warehouse models have WIFI 6e and an NFC remote and a three year warranty. If that isn't important, then this deal looks to be good.
Is the difference between Wifi 5 and 6E in regards to streaming going to be noticeable? Additionally, it seems that the general consensus is that TV-based OS's aren't great and that you should get a streaming device, which would make the Wifi version on the TV a non-factor. Is the NFC remote anything more than a gimmick? The buydig deal comes with 4 year warranty + gift cards, which I would be ok with instead of the 5 year one from Costco. Not trying to argue with you or anything, just want to make an informed decision.

I agree. I use an Apple TV or my PS5 on the C2, haven't connected to Wifi since updating the firmware and haven't used the remote since setting up the video settings so for me the Costco model isn't gonna make a difference. Also got a good deal from Greentoe so not going to complain

G > C > B, B is the lowest tier and usually slightly worse than the previous gen C. In this case, the form factor is not as nice and it is dimmer and slower refresh rate. It also has a different panel (W-OLED EX on C4, W-OLED on B4) which might factor into longevity. If its a matter of $200-300, the consensus is to go for the C. If you're already stretching to get to the B price from QLED, then just stick with B its gonna be fantastic still. But C4 is arguably the best OLED tv on the market today (aside from the G4 which uses the next gen W-OLED EX MLA)

I pulled the trigger with a 77" C4 from Buydig over Costco. It came down to CPS covering burn-in and accidental damage vs Costco's Allstate, granted Allstate does have a longer warranty coverage. Used my AMEX card that also gives a 90 Day Purchase Protection and an additional 1 year warranty after LG's warranty ends. Visa Signature cards also offer this perk too. Only downside buying from Buydig is I won't get the TV until next Monday. missing the first 2 World Series games. Also don't mind getting the Wifi5 version since I'll be using the AppleTV instead and would rather not connect the C4 to the interwebs. I read some users are experiencing slower UI functionality with the latest version of webOS on older C3s.

Just checked out the LG 65" c4 on LG.com $1499.99 and asked a couple questions on chat.
Immediately got a 15% off code. Would have got 4% cash back from Citi Card + another 3% from a cash back site. Price could have been in the $1140's, but 1yr warranty.

Offered free set up on stand or free wall mount.

LG Premium Care by Asurian [lgpremiumcare.com]

2yrs $130
3yrs $150

Info online did not mention burn-in coverage. Called 1-888-781-4201

Immediately informed it does NOT include burn-in coverage.

Informed chat: Thanks for checking back, but not purchasing b/c burn-in coverage is not provided.

Just checked it now.
Burn-in is covered but retention is not covered

Burn-in, or image retention, can occur with OLED TVs when static images remain on screen for extended periods. However, LG has taken significant steps to address and minimize this concern:

Pixel Shift Technology: LG's OLED TVs include a pixel shift feature that subtly moves the image on the screen over time, reducing the likelihood of burn-in.

Screen Savers: Built-in screen savers activate when the TV is idle, preventing static images from lingering too long.

Automatic Brightness Limiter: This feature adjusts brightness levels based on content, helping to reduce stress on individual pixels.

Image Retention Compensation: LG TVs have tools that can detect and reduce image retention, helping to refresh the screen and mitigate any potential burn-in.

Customer Support and Warranty: LG offers a robust warranty and customer support to address any concerns about burn-in, ensuring peace of mind for users.

Do you own the TV already, or you're about to purchase it?

Over and out. Not purchasing an xtended warrant through LG.

Hello! I'm Chris, your Better Life Specialist. I see you were speaking with my colleague previously. Please allow me a moment to get you back to them.

So it looks like the previous agent is not available, so I will be taking over from here.

Burn-in is covered under the warranty, while retention is not. It's worth noting that LG Premium Care functions as an extended warranty with LG, meaning our certified LG technicians will still handle any issues with your TV if they arise. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask!

Okay Chris. Thank you. The customer service representative at 1-888-781-4201 immediately informed me burn-in was not covered. Seems it's probably semantics.

Thanks for all your help.

The warranty is a big deal for some people, but you can use the money you're saving with no tax to buy one separately from Costco or something. From what I've heard, I wouldn't recommend the warranty Greentoe offers. Or you can spend a little more, get there G3 which is a much better tv and have a 5 year panel warranty that covers burn in. Overall, this is a pretty good deal though. I didn't realize the warranty came with it. If it covers burn in, I'd go for it. Or do Greentoe and call buy dig to see if customer service will give you a warranty since you're not getting the GC.
Did not think LG G3 5 year warranty covered burn in

Anyone else contemplating waiting for Dec/January for the C or G4's to drop further, before the C5's are announced?
