I noticed Total has prepaid cards available at some retailers. Can one "overpay" into their account?
Also noticed Total has the "1" device at a time hotspot connection limit. Is this enforced? I'm with Visible and they had this policy for years but we're not always able to enforce it(on some phones). Been with them for 5½+ years.
Thinking of switching but there are several factors to consider. Satisfied with Visible but if I could get Total for $30, or even less with discounted Prepaid cards, is tempting.

FWIW my friend got visible with an older phone. They ported out her number instantly leaving her without a working cell phone for a week while the sim card shipped. When it arrived, nothing worked. Eventually she got everything working except for MMS. After 3 weeks of not having MMS working, she gave up and switched back to her old plan. Visible held onto her number for an extra 1.5 weeks and wouldn't let it go, so she just got a new phone number.
Previously they had a silent cap that was higher but this is definitely something to consider for people that would need faster speeds (most won't, but everyone will think they do).

I'm not an expert here at all but do read up a bunch in r/nocontract and r/visible which I would highly recommend visiting multiple subreddits before you commit to changing to a specific carrier. They've all got quirks and things to know.

I did this like 1 and 1/2 month ago
Is that 35% off up to $30 per month or a one time offer?

I was on TMobile prior to that and Mint prior to that.
Visible runs fine overall.
Think of MVNO's like this - if you're in an area a lot of devices are connected to towers, you're gonna get second priority.
The end.
I'm happy with it for now. I watch a lot of live streams and sometimes it hiccups - the price I pay for being thrifty.
