Anyone know how the iGPU performs for LIGHT gaming compared to something like a 13th gen i7? i7-1355u for example. Big improvement, same / not worth writing about, worse?

I've seen so much conflicting stuff and benchmarks between these series I'm not even sure how that stack against each other on even normal tasks.

Does "integrated Battery" mean non-replaceable?

If they shipped at around 500$ they'd do better.

It's basically a Chromebook with Microsoft branding.

Compatibility is probably the bigger issue than performance, many games aren't ARM compatible and I believe older games that run DirectX 11 struggle as well (for any Civ 5 heads). Compatibility will probably improve but not there yet. Might want to specifically check games you play the most.

Solid point, and one I had not considered. FWIW most of the games I'd expect it to run would be older games (say 2010-2020) that I can't easily play on the Steam Deck because I 'own' them in weird launchers like EA...and a few where I still have physical media. So I might be the one who needs to know this more than most.

Imho, this is maybe what the old WoA computers were, but this generation changes the game.
There are still a few compatability issues, but these are much more than a chromebook now.

They still were priced way too high at launch.
Almost all of these are on clearance now.

Almost pulled the trigger except for two things -- It's a Dell Inspiron (better quality brands are out there) and compatibility issues. I wound up emptying my cart.

Sorry to necro this thread but looking more into this I think you are 500% right. Per this video [youtube.com]from a few months ago more than a few games in this benchmarking test wouldn't even launch because of the CPU not being supported. Some of that might get ironed out with updates but many older games (again like you alluded to) won't likely be seeing updates themselves so any compatibility updates would have to come from the driver side...and old game most likely will not be a priority for Qualcomm.
