Best value is getting the tool you actually need. Circular saw is not fuel, so it's going to be pretty weak, with most likely brushed motor, but I never used it. Fuel is designation for their premium brushless tools.

Off the top of my head, Sawzall caught my eye, if you do a lot of cutting, that's a really good tool.

M18 portable inflator is amazing and hands down the best battery powered inflator in the world. If you don't have one, get it. I bought one, my brother bought one, my dad bought one, this thing is awesome.

Jig saw is also decent if you actually need it.

Surge Impact Driver is amazing. Uses hydraulic hammer and is pretty quiet compared to other Impact Drivers. Pulling numbers out of my ass I would say it's half as loud as fuel Milwaukee or XR Dewalt drivers. If you do a lot of screwing throughout the day, you will appreciate how quiet it is. It does have a downside, it's not as powerful and quick as premium Fuel/XR impact drivers. Not so bad with screws, takes a second longer, not a big deal, but if doing more heavy duty stuff with big butterfly drill bits for example, the difference will be bigger.

Grinder is ok if you need to cut off a random bolt or a rebar here and there. No good for heady duty jobs. Will overheat quick. You would need a 60volt dewalt grinder or better yet a corded one for prolonged heavy duty use.

Non Fuel Multi Tool is junk. Fuel version is new generation and is so much better it's night and day difference. No one should ever buy that piece of junk.

Haven't used any other tools on the list.

That's a pretty impressive list of choices, lots of FUEL options! I get the feeling they're trying to clear stock of the old batteries.

Thanks for the post.
I would have got the Oscillating Multi-tool, but it wasn't the fuel version.
I ended up going with the grinder because that was the better deal for me.

Any feedback on the router? Seems like it would be really handy- thinking of picking that up. $100 with the hack

Has anyone had trouble with Home Depot accepting more than one hacked order for return at a time, recently? For example, I come in with 3 battery kits to return, and keep the tool portions.

I've had it for a few years and it's been great for light work - rounding edges and adding a juice groove to cutting boards. Very capable and handy. It would have been nice if it included a face plate with one straight side like DeWalt or Ryobi but you can probably find a generic one if you need it. The straight edge guide it comes leaves a bit to be desired.

Says the battery is worth $99, don't see why you couldn't
