In Bay Area Costco and National (and some random off brand places) are like $0.50 cheaper than any of these brands anyways.

I got that e-mail too. But I like Fuel Rewards better. Shell gas stations are cheaper and plentiful near me. Plus, my account is linked to T-Mobile Tuesdays, GrubHub, Stop N Shop, Advanced Auto and other partners. Plus I fill a lot so my level is Platinum. I also get a special offer at least twice a month for like 20 cents if you fill on a certain date.

It's a cash back app but I've found it difficult to use it for the same station bc you can only activate it a few times for the particular station.
doesnt work in NJ and often (not always) find that stations price higher with an upside offer attached when driving from out of state

Agreed. I only get gas at stations that meet the Top Tier Standards (Mobil, Costco, Marathon, Meijer, Shell, ETC) after reading about the importance of it in Consumer Reports. It rarely costs more. Top Tier gas should not be confused with higher octane "premium" which is a waste of money.https://www.consumerreports.org/cars/fuel-economy-efficiency/top-tier-gasoline-worth-the-extra-price... Wow looks like BP left Top Tier a couple years ago. BP still claims they exceed TT standards but can't think of a reason why they'd leave unless they can't consistently meet the standards.

Does it stack with Kroger Fuel Points? It seems like both programs have you enter your phone number at the pump before starting to fill up. https://www.kroger.com/d/fuel-points-program

Thanks. We have some Amoco and BP in our area.

This is kInd of old news, but in case people didn't know, Walmart+ offers fuel discounts too.

BP 100% meets and exceeds Top Tier standards. They were the first to even have additive standards, eventually joined Top Tier, then left likely not worth it to them to pay the fee. BP may be the only company with Top Tier standards that are not part of Top Tier.

At $3/gallon you're considerably better off to use a card that gives 5% cash back on fuel. 15c vs 10c basically.
