In Bay Area Costco and National (and some random off brand places) are like $0.50 cheaper than any of these brands anyways.

It's not worth it if you have to wait 15 minutes in line but I often get gas early in the morning on the way to work and there is no wait at that time.

Costco gas is really worth it not just for price but having top tier grade. I've tried Sam's gas same premium and compared that same with Costco/others too. I get an average 20-30 miles more on each fill up using Costco than any brand out there.

There's nothing, even claimed by Top Tier that you get better mileage (other than your injectors will stay cleaner, so over a long period (say 50K+) without ANY cleaners could result in a drop of 2-4%, but most non top tier gas still has some additives, and if you pop a can of injector cleaner into your tank every 5K, etc), so that claim is a bit sketchy), . It's just more additives to their Top Tier standards (which is made from the oil companies), which is a very, very small amount (like a few drops per gallon), and just helps keep injectors clean... it does not add to performance or mileage. In some areas (like California) Gas formulas are so regulated, that there's really no difference between top tier and regular gas...

Basically your loss of MPG is most likely either different driving or other factors (why you went to Sams) or a giving off a placebo effect.

Best gas, is a station is high turnover... with fuels having alcohol in them, the longer they sit, the more it degrades.

Agreed. I only get gas at stations that meet the Top Tier Standards (Mobil, Costco, Marathon, Meijer, Shell, ETC) after reading about the importance of it in Consumer Reports. It rarely costs more. Top Tier gas should not be confused with higher octane "premium" which is a waste of money.

Premium is not a waste of money if you have a high-compression engine, turbo, or supercharged engine that requires it in order not to have pre-detonation. Otherwise, I agree that it's a waste.

Of course, always follow car manufacturer's requirements. There are a few cars that require it, like my previous VW Jetta it was clearly stated required. My 2019 Maxima recommends it, but does not require it. At $1.25 extra per gallon, I am ok with a little less HP.

No, I don't think they exist in Texas. Even if they do, they can't beat Costco Gas's price, even with the 10c discount.

It's a cash back app but I've found it difficult to use it for the same station bc you can only activate it a few times for the particular station.
I have found that it resets after a week or so. Using upside with the prime card is a good idea. Can this be used in conjunction with upside?

BP is British Petroleum which is in Texas. They're the ones that had the big Gulf spill disaster a few years back. Whether they are participating ...?

62 upvotes for $0.10 off per a gallon??? T-Mobile Tuesday (now T-Life) gives $0.15 per a gallon at Shell Gas Stations and best of all, it can be combined with other savings

Not detergent gas. Maintenance costs accumulate as a result. Avoid politics by nonUS multinationals.

Upside is great! I use it all the time, have cashed out a few hundred bucks from it! No idea how they make money, but I'll take it!
