Pcie-5 and atx 3.0 go hand in hand for psus. Basically a pcie gen 5 psu has a 16-pin 12VHPWR connector capable of delivering up to a maximum of 600w (the connector on the psu in this deal only supports 450w). The atx 3.0 standard also includes more stringent requirements for a variety of attributes, such as a requiring far larger tolerances for power excursions.

Edit: I made a mistake in my initial assertion that this psu was C-tier on cultists. A bunch of posts about this psu in both previous deal threads and reddit posts referenced it as being c-tier, and I saw reviews listed for this exact unit on the cultists psu tier list sources and info spreadsheet. I therefore just stated the rating on the tier list for the only msi mag psu listed believing it to apply to a range of msi mag models without properly verifying. It turns out that while the spreadsheet already has reviews listed, the tier list hasn't been updated yet, and the rating is only applicable to the msi mag a-bn model.
The 12v2x6 connector on this psu only supports 450w as opposed to 600w power delivery standard on higher wattage units. I'd consider $70 to be an okay price for a 750w atx 3.0 psu of this performance tier from a major brand if it didn't require jumping through any hoops, but I find it rather hard to justify dealing with the mail in rebate at this price. Additionally, 750w is quite low at this point, and considering how a good psu can last through multiple builds and potentially over a decade of use, I generally recommend spending a bit more for something more "future-proof". Decent 850w atx 3.0 psus can be found for ~$80-$100, and decent 1000w atx 3.0 psus can be found from ~$100-$130.

Should people just not buy these PSU's if the 12vphwr is a fire hazard?
Is the connector on the PSU the limiting factor of only 450w being delivered through it? Can I plug in a connector that delivers the 600w?
I've had one of these for about a year. It's been great, and the colors match my build. Quiet as well, which was important to me. Paired with a 5700x and a 6650xt, it's plenty. If you are going with a high-end card, what are you doing here?

ive been temped on this but been holding back to avoid a mail in rebate. for those claiming this is C-tier, im not sure what list your using, but cultists hasnt rated it yet. the C tier there is the A-BN model
