PS, called Ryobi. They told me to register the battery (only) online, and file a Rapid Claim.

Did so, and got the RMA shipping label sent to me by EMAIL.

BE AWARE: the email went to my JUNK folder, but it was sent by Ryobi immediately.

I just got off the phone with Ryobi and a new battery is on its way. Call 800-525-2579, the warranty dept. The number HD gave me was like parts support or something...which I waited for 40 mins to find that out. Warranty line took less than 10 min and offered me the option for a call back. Less than 10 min later I got a call back. Hope this helps somebody.

Got mine today. This thing is very weak. There are three nozzle settings. Rinse is no stronger than a normal garden hose. 15 degree is like a very weak pressure washer that doesn't have enough pressure or volume to clean anything. And Turbo has decent pressure, but such low volume that cleaning anything would take forever. I'll probably keep it, but only for the battery.

I have this. Love it. Sometimes I have to put the end in the water a few times because it easily comes out of the bucket but all I have to do is get a lid or clip the hose to the side. 600 is the way to go. Dont even bother with 320.

Do you know how long it takes to get a new battery?
They told me 14 days. Sent my DOA one back by Fedex today. Will report back when I get the new one back....

I love mine. Washing my car in the winter with a bucket is awesome.

That said, the first one I got died in the Spring after a few uses. It started sputtering like the suction hose was cracked or loose. (Think about what it's like to suck soda with a hole in a straw.)

I bought new and returned the old with same receipt at HD in May. If this were older, I would have opened it up for repair.

I bought all the available attachments at the Direct Tools online during their last 50% off sale or similar.

Avoid this company like the plague for any used/possibly bad tools/batteries.

Their warranty process is intentionally broken (as in you won't be be able to register your tool - which they require you to do in order to file warranty claims for repairs/replacement). They have a known IT issue of circular references within their tool registration webpage (issue going on for 4 yrs. last I checked - see Reddit thread on this) which still hasn't been fixed i.e., you sign in, click "Register Tool" and it takes you back to the "Sign in" pop-up dialog...lol. They've known about this for a while (3+ yrs.) but never fixed it. I reckon its easier to keep the website broken than replace/repair any broken tools under warranty. This is also a Class Action lawsuit waiting to happen (could bankrupt TTI one day...hahaha).

If you get brand new tools/batteries dirt cheap, they're OK but anything remotely expensive or reconditioned, I'd avoid this company at all costs.
I have all of their yard tools, snow blower and most of their hand tools and never once had a problem getting warranty replacements when I've had an issue. I litterally just call them, give them the serial number and they send out a replacement. They even register the item for me at the same time because I've never once registered any of my tools online after purchase.

Battery was DOA out of the box. No bars and an error message when attempting to charge the enclosed battery on two different Ryobi 40V chargers.

Ditto, bad battery. Ryobi rep told me to take it back to HD to get a new batt. I was going to wash my suv today...

Dang. I'm in that situation where a deal post made it evident that I do, in fact, need this contraption that I never heard of before, and now have to go search for a higher-priced alternative. Sigh.

Would be great as a bike washer in the city where hose faucets aren't available.

Dead battery here too. The YouTube revival guides apply to a different form factor, this one does not seem to have reset contacts. Registered at Ryobi only to receive a message that based on the serial # (built in '21) this model is out of warranty. I am not dealing with this crap. This goes right back to HD. I hope others have better luck, but you have been warned.

REPOST. And.... most come with DOA 2ah batteries, which you then have reach out to Ryobi for an RMA.
Same thing for me, DOA battery. I think HD is the one doing the battery hack on us this time😂

PS, Spoke to Ryobi today, and they gave me an easy "hack" to get the battery RMA'ed.

Register ONLY the battery online at Ryobi, and do a "Rapid Claim". They send you a Fedex label, you send it back to them, and get a new battery back within 14 days.

Dropped mine off today, and expect to have a new one back in 2 weeks.
