Price is for combo kit only, two tools only, no battery/ies no charger. Kit at this price is decent deal if you already have some Makita batteries. Blower is solid, though goes through a 5Ah battery in about 15 minutes full throttle. Trimmer works but is somewhat frustrating to reload and is "fine" for a medium sized American yard, anything more than that and I'd suggest looking to the model above this unit, it's far superior.

I already have the small handheld blower, a handheld gas, and a backpack gas but some reason this is tempting. Also saw the edger kit with blower. I grew up on gas edgers and not sure I can get into a battery one.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I already have a couple of the blowers I got for free with mower purchases. They are actually great performers but they drain those small batteries fast so good to have several batteries on hand. One store near me has one combo and another has 4. I'm holding out in hopes that as winter gets closer, they will reduce them more. I want the trimmer.

Edit: after reading reviews on the trimmer, I'll pass.

I just got this combo today. blower, strimmer, battery x1 & charger for $144. Still a few knocking about in HD Miami areas. I haven't run it yet, but good price with a battery included

The efficient brushless motor delivers up to 6,000 RPM for faster cutting with the string trimmer. The string trimmer is equipped with a high/low button for power and run time management. There is also a variable speed trigger, allowing users to match the speed to the application. The easy-loading bump and feed trimmer head is preloaded with 0.080 in. twist line and can be loaded in seconds with 3 easy steps, align, feed and twist. The blower and string trimmer also feature Makita Extreme Protection Technology (XPT).
