Extra 2% bonus for making a purchase on November 7th with your BoA credit card. Up to $2500 spend for $50 extra cash back or similar for point based credit card. If you already have the 5.25% for bonus category, this means 7.25% total cash back.

Using my BofA unlimited cash card and platinum rewards, that's 4.625% cash back and only a 1.82% payment fee.
That's about $70. Plus I still have 0% promo interest rate until October, since it's a new card.
You won't get a bonus on the 2%, but you will still get your bonus on the card as usual.
If you have customized cash platinum rewards and haven't used your $2500 spend limit for the quarter on your chosen category, that can be 7.25% cash back!
3% - custom category base reward
2.25% - platinum rewards bonus
2% - rewards day bonus
Unfortunately, I already used my $2500 spend for the quarter, so the unlimited cash is a better choice for me.

In my case, I paid taxes for a fee of 1.82%. Even without the bonus, I get 2.625% on my customized cash card, so I can't really lose money, just make $50 less.
I could let it ride until April 15, 2025 but that seems like a ways off for ~$70, lol.
I already spent $500 today on various Costco gift cards since that is a retailer I can't use Chase's 5% via Paypal.
How are you getting 2.625% with the customized cash card before bonus? From their website:
Bank of America Preferred Rewards® members earn 25%-75% more cash back on every purchase.
That means the 3% choice category could earn 3.75% - 5.25% and the 2% at grocery stores and wholesale clubs could earn 2.50% - 3.50%, for the first $2,500 in combined choice category/grocery store/wholesale club purchases each quarter, and the 1% for all other purchases could earn 1.25% - 1.75%.

Guess it depends which tax and which processing company you go thru? I just tried with local property tax and it showed up in BoA site. A bit relieved..
