7.50-7.99 for a 12 pack puts this in the 4-5 dollar territory for a 12 pack.

I get this is the new normal but man this blows.

Because of the "new normal" with these ridiculous prices - I now get the Walmart brand soda - $1 for a 2 liter. Coke and Pepsi lost me as a customer for life!

Wrong. Show us where Costco is beating 38 cents a can for coke?

At least in SoCal Vons/Albertsons has them for 5x$20 with the current weekly ad (through Tuesday) and it's not too uncommon. Ralphs/Kroger/Food4Less has the 2 liter ones at $1.49 with coupon max 5.

The price of water has not changed for most of the industry, but the price of energy has. It costs more because of the shipping. Sugar is up but the main cost is labor, shipping and energy. All are man made price increases.

Sure, but the only way to get costs down is for people to push back. Coca-Cola prides itself on having epic margins. We can say no, and they can tighten the belt.

It's cause people give into there wants that these companies can price these drink so high. Stop buying it, and you'll see the price come down. I refuse to pay more than 3 dollars for 12 pack, which is fair adjusted for inflation. Dollar general has sales from time to time and that is only time I buy them.

I see 7.99 before the discount for Coke Zero 12-pack, is it the same price across all Targets in the US? Does anyone see a price lower than 7.99?

This is why I switched to soda stream. I'm saving a little bit compared to the "new normal", but at least I don't have to haul it in the house anymore.
Sodastream bottles are ripoff too if bought through company or Walmart. Are you getting cheap refills, if so where is a good place? I know alot of people say beer brewing accessory places, but do you have a specific national company that sells the cylinder tank, either the sodastream or the 5lb,20lb tanks, and selling gas refilling....cheap? I went to Airgas, they quoted $300 for a 20lb tank.

You would think that these prices would invite compition. after the 40% off I a would be paying $5 per 12 pack. I might buy some for guests during the holidays, but $4 per 12 is not a jump price for me. It could be GOVT finding a way to get these prices high to disrupt use.

Actually you do have to wonder why it is so high... Aluminum cans are worth about 50 cents a pound and has been there for years. Record suger beet crops this year. About the only thing left is energy and wages.

just wanna post coke's financial reports. you can see their sales went up $3Billion, but their costs only went up 0.3Billion. biden didnt do that, nor is that inflation. its literally 10x the price vs cogs growth. its coke raising the price and nothing else. see attachment.

Was at Vons this week. They had a buy 2 get 3 free so $20 for 5. As someone else mentioned this is when I stock up for parties, thankfully me and my partner don't really drink soda … it's crazy how prices are all because these businesses see people are willing to pay. 💰

I do the 4 pack refill which costs me $60. This lasts me 7-8 months. For the flavoring I normally wait for a slickdeal and stock up. Generally ~$3-$4 for one of the flavoring bottles. One flavoring usually lasts me 10-14 days.
