Can you roll your rewards
I think I understand what you're asking. You have to pay to buy these batteries - you can't simply purchase them with rewards.
For everyone: if there's a limit of earning 20,000 points, that's $100 in batteries, correct? And it has to be done in one purchase, so you can:
- first, recycle a battery, get a $10 off $30 instore coupon
- buy $110 worth of batteries
- apply $10 off $30 coupon to bring it down to $100

I like that recycling coupon foresight.
I'll probably grab 2 packs of those energizer lithiums for 14.99 plus a filler to get over 30, call it 20 after coupon and 20 back in rewards.

When I recycle a battery at Staples, I receive two $10 off $30 coupons. One is good for today and tomorrow, and the other expires 12/31/2024. They have two different 5-digit codes, so I'm going to try using both of them on a $110 battery purchase tomorrow. I remember that the "return your Amazon purchase at Staples" coupon (when it was a 15% off online/in-store coupon) didn't combine with a $10 off $30 coupon, but who knows, maybe the two different $10 off $30 coupons will work on the same purchase.

The coupon will be prorated on both items

While "free" batteries are great, just remember that almost everything at Staples is marked up so you'll be "paying" when you redeem the rewards.
Just a heads up.
When purchasing in the store, you can use their price-matching policy to keep the out-of-pocket cost competitive. It also saves you the difference in sales tax which does not come back in rewards points. https://www.staples.com/stores/pr...tee#Policy
No. Percentage-based rewards are earned on the out-of-pocket amount after all discounts, coupons, and rewards are applied. Also, sales tax does not earn rewards.
If they offer a fixed points reward for a certain spend level, that will qualify as long as the minimum stated out-of-pocket spend is made after all discounts, coupons, and rewards, and not including taxes.
Since Staples price matches in-store, I assume I can find the best online price and get 100% back in points on that lower price. Is there anything against that?

Also same Duracell battery & pack size on Staples is $26.59 vs $15.72 on Amazon.
I pass - not worth the deal.

Stapes is making batteries now?
More than likely like previous battery points, it's for in store stock only and wont apply to laptop batteries or others, even if ordered in-store.
