Also, if you already have gift cards can you split payment with points/credit card/gift cards? I'm particularly trying to use all 3 if possible.

yes you can instant transfer chase points btwn cards online. I always transfer points earned from freedom to my Sapphire reserve for redemption

Yes it has a $550 annual fee, but with all the perks that come with the card, you can end up getting all that money back. They automatically give you $300 towards your travel purchases annually so right there, more than half of that fee is covered. Sounds like a lot but the benefits are exceptional.
