I want to get around griddle and I'm leaning towards the sams club members mark griddle for 299.00 that has the cabinets and what not. Why would someone go for something like this for a similar price vs the members mark pro?

I've been shopping around for a griddle as well and watching YouTube videos on many of them, I keep going back to the sams club pro 5 burner for 299. Just seems to be the best value. My space is a little limited for it but I'm willing to make it work. Couple things holding me back is I'm not a plus member to get the free shipping and not sure if I want to pay the current price of $70 to become one. And with Black Friday deals coming up soon, I expect there there will be some deals on griddles.
How do y'all stop your griddles from rusting and spending 2 hours to clean each time? I tried everything, heavily seasoning, covering the griddle surface, covering the entire griddle too. Always rusts and is a pain in the a to clean.

I apply some vegetable oil to the entire surface after I finish cleaning it. Every now and then there is a spot or two that needs attention but overall it works well.

I'm in socal so it's not too humid here. I bought those silicone covers that lay flat and makes contact with the cooking surface. If it's dry and well seasoned prior, I haven't had issues with rust since then

I got to take a look at weber and blackstone at ace hardware the other day, and also caught a detail that could be helpful with regards to your choices. I saw some folks on a grilling forum saying that the members mark griddle might not have much in the way of bracing on the bottom side of the griddle plate, and that it could be inferior to other brands due to warping possibility.
I looked at the underside of the weber, and it had three L bracket shaped anti-warp bars welded on, and then I checked out the blackstone, and it was immediately apparent that blackstone has much more elaborate and sturdy bracing than simple L brace bars. I'm gonna wait for a good sale on one of the 36" 2151 models with the lid due to this. I wish I could see the members mark one in person to c heck out the bracing, I can't 100% confirm that what that person said is true of that exact model, if you can let us know.
Due to this, I'd say there's good reason to look for a deal on one of these blackstone models, and if you don't need the larger 36", this deal seems pretty decent. I didn't care for the hang off the back flat lid, but the flip top felt great and now I want one with that.
This one has an attached lid and side shelf. One you posted has a flat lower lid that isn't attached and 1 less side shelf. IMO Walmart is a better deal

I love my BlackStone when it's not rusty, but if I don't use it for a couple of weeks then it rusts again.
I'm in a humid region, and I cannot stop rust no matter how I care for it or where I store it. I've tried everything, but rust removed gets kinda old after a while.
Sometimes you need to be Heisenberg with the chemicals to get rid of the rust. Last spring I was tired of the chemical treatments so I took it out of the garage and spent hours removing rust with a metal wire attachment on my power drill.

Also the griddle itself is the omnivore griddle vs the original griddle. The omnivore gets less hot on the sides so you don't burn yourself the heat spreads more evenly as well for the griddle plate. There's YouTube videos on this

They also sell silcon mats that you put over the cooking area that helps prevent rust and keeps it clean while not in use.
If anyone is in DFW Lowe's outlet had Blue Rhino 2 burner griddle with wheels and built in cover for $99 when I was there a few weeks back. I didn't need one but bought one anyway since the price was so good…they also had $900 weber grill for $300 but I already have 2 Ducanes but it was still a hell of a deal if u have gas
I have a line in patio and doesn't seem lot of options for natural gas
Like propane grills, you either need to buy one built for natural gas or buy all the conversion kits cause the viscosity of the gas is different I believe
