Best way to optimize:
- Buy two $300 gift cards in separate transactions.
- Use them on any normal purchases where your best cashback credit card doesn't have a great bonus. As an example, if you use it on a transaction where you would only get 1% cash back, using the gift card gets you an extra 5.67%cb. If you use it on an Amazon purchase where your amazon card gets you 5%, that's only an extra 1.67%cb.

Maybe try to prepay insurance.
My homeowner's insurance (also auto), if you have a credit balance for more than a week they automatically send you a check. So, just make a payment and get your money back. I did that with the previous AE "pay your insurance bill get $XX" offer a few months ago.
I can get automatically 5% back if i pay using PayPal. 600 dollar is around 30 dollar no headache
This missing not accepting problem etc
Some place I have tried tor use the Amex GC from the previous $50 off $750 offer -
1. Pepper
2. BestBuy
3. Utilities
4. Home Depot (use..., even Home Depot)
5. Amazon

That is unlike every other credit card transaction of store gift cards that I have done on my other Visa/MC credit card accounts. Buying gift cards would be the best way to use up my available points/rewards balance.

Best way I've found to ensure you don't have the leftover amount they charge for a hold is to add it to my Apple wallet (or Google if you have that), and then I use it to buy a Verizon GC to pay my cell phone bill. I am able to use up the whole amount without issue that way.
Such a scam and an incredible was of time. I finally tied it into Apple Pay and used it at a few restaurants as those were the only places it didn't get denied at.

I got 2 digit cards last year(avoid paying shipping).
firs, the email link they sent me went to web page that did not show any card information, I tried IE, Firefox and Chrome on PC, none of which worked. Called them multiple time, due to lack of card information, they just keep telling me wait for the information to show (24-48) hours, Finally, I was able to talk to a supervisor, she suggested to me to use my cell phone。 I tried iPhone safari and it finally showed the information。
2nd, I tried to use to pay online purchase, through PayPal, amazon, eBay, all got declined。 I called them, and they say try again, and declined again。 I found out the only way to use is through apple pay。 Guess what, through apple pay I can only use if for chick-fil-A. I tried to use for Macdonald's and declined also。 Took me almost a year to use it up through apple pay for chick-fil-A。
So, if you are going to buy it, please try to get the physical card, or you like chick-fil-A。
