Do you tip your Amazon drivers or your mailman/person?

The tipping culture is out of control in the U.S.

Businesses (should) pay their employees and staff fair wages and health insurance, and the consumer should pay for the products. It's just that simple.

I shop and deliver for Walmart. They have created algorithms to give drivers a certain amount regardless of the tip amount. An order with no tip Walmart will pay $11 and if you add a $7 tip, the driver gets the same $11 but now it's broken into Walmart Pays $4 and customer tip $7.

They're using the tips to underpay the drivers and make bigger profits !

Walmart+ is awesome - I absolutely love the same day delivery as a father of a 1 year old. I first got it as part of a cheap promo, on a whim, and i use it all the time now. Only wish there was a better way to curate the stuff Walmart actually carries vs the total no name drop shipped junk. Some of wal marts house brands are pretty solid

FYI Link above didn't work for me but I went to cancel the membership, and on the cancellation page, there was a check box to renew for 50% off. That worked for me!

I order from Walmart all the time, and there isn't even an option to tip.

Guess maybe if I did a grocery order and had that delivered? I ordered some boxer briefs the other day and they came in one day, not too option.
Same. I have to assume all this tipping discussion pertains to grocery deliveries, which I don't order. Products, on the other hand, are delivered quickly and without interaction with delivery drivers, just like any other online order.

Is that a question? Paramount+ has already been discussed.

I've never tried this but their "InHome" "plus up" is only $40 a year and there are no tips because it's real walmart employees

from what I understand they don't have to come into your home either

so for frequent deliveries +$40 inhome might be worth it

https://www.walmart.com/plus/inhome
Only available in some location unfortunately.

I'm willing to pay $40 per month just to have WM employees deliver anything to me whenever I want. Beat going to the store wasting gas and waiting in line as well esp during peak hours

Tipping is still optional on the grocery delivery orders. If you tip zero, Walmart will increase the bid to the dash driver. So you don't need to tip. Let Walmart pay the service provider enough

My membership renews in a few days ($50 offer) and we signed up for their $40/yr In-home tip-free add on. In the one-month trial for the in-home service right now. But we are thinking of cancelling.

There are two major issues -
1) The tip free hours available are only two slots 9am to 1pm and 1pm to 5pm. So basically, only regular working hours. That means the only practical slots left are for the weekend, which get booked early. So, we have to plan much in advance. Of course, you still have the 'tip extra' regular evening deliveries available. But if I'm spending $40 extra to avail of the in-home tip-free option, no point in booking tip options on the side.
2) The produce deliveries are extremely bad. It's like they go out of their way to send the expiring soon stuff just to get rid of such stock from their store. This might be specific to the Walmart that services our location. But every time we schedule something - fruits, bread, bakery goods etc., we have to throw half the fruit or contend with baked goods that are expiring the same day.
TIPS is not mandatory nor an obligation. If you want to for TUVWXYZ reason then go ahead. Respect. Hopefully the driver won't be one of those hot heads.

I personally don't tip at all and I don't feel bad unless the employee go above and beyond which is extremely rare these days

Is Paramount Plus going to make me watch ads? I'm not happy with Amazon making me watch ads. FU Amazon, I'm not paying you another $3.
