Do you tip your Amazon drivers or your mailman/person?

The tipping culture is out of control in the U.S.

Businesses (should) pay their employees and staff fair wages and health insurance, and the consumer should pay for the products. It's just that simple.

I shop and deliver for Walmart. They have created algorithms to give drivers a certain amount regardless of the tip amount. An order with no tip Walmart will pay $11 and if you add a $7 tip, the driver gets the same $11 but now it's broken into Walmart Pays $4 and customer tip $7.

They're using the tips to underpay the drivers and make bigger profits !

For the AME W+ Offer "Spend $98 on Walmart+ annual membership, earn $49 back" the details state the following:

"Earn a one-time $49 statement credit after using your enrolled eligible Card to make a single purchase of $98 or more on Walmart+ annual memberships online at walmart.com/plus by 1/15/2025. See terms."

From wording it would appear that if you can get Walmart to give you 2 years at $49/each it should trigger this AMEX deal effectively giving you 2 years for the the cost of half of 1 year (75% off the total).

How would you go about doing this? Ask WalMart customer service to give you a discount on the annual fee and let you pay two years upfront? I doubt the latter would even be an option.

I'm a fan. W+ is better than I expected. Many things arrive faster than with Amazon Prime, sometimes even arriving the same afternoon from the local store.

I never tip anyone. If people don't like their job, they can quit. I'm not paying MY HARD EARNED MONEY to make your life easier.

About ⅔ of my same-day delivery shipments (not scheduled deliveries of groceries) don't leave the store until 2-3 days after they're supposed to be delivered and I've already cancelled the order. Is this only a problem for me? I assumed it's because their employees near here are imbeciles, but is this a nationwide issue? I guess it's worth it for me because I'd probably pay for paramount plus anyway, but the Walmart benefits of Walmart+ aren't that hot or worth it for me.
Often I shop for random items in bed in the morning around 8:00 for non-food items and they'll be on my porch by 1:00 75% of the time if it comes from the store (around 12 miles away). So I'd say your store is probably just poorly run

Just signed up for trial about a week ago and did my first same-day delivery. Placed order around 12 pm and tipped $4 for $50 total. Scheduled for 5 - 7 pm delivery and driver didn't arrive until 9:30 pm. Lesson learned is not to tip again as it obviously didn't help ensure timely delivery.

I'm looking for the return policy for Walmart+ members but cannot find it. I wonder if we can return electronics within 90 days as with Sam's Club.

I'm not finding any special return policy for Walmart+ members besides the option for some items to be returned from home:

If you have the $49 offer already contact Walmart support and see if they will let you purchase it 2x. If you don't have the offer you can ask if they wil give you offer and if yes see if they will double it up.

Agree, I got tip begging saturated and shut it down, no problem. I don't get tips either. I'm fine with that. I had a hotel booking website pre-add in a tip for me of 15% of supposed saving they made up and that was the final straw, no to everybody, and no guilt about it at all. Back to tipping decent wait staff 15%. And restaurant pricing sucks now anyway so I don't go there either much at all.

This thing got way out of control. The waiter thing is terrible too, they should pay them decently and ban the tips. But what happens is, they cook the tips in the bill, then people tip anyway. The whole tip culture blows. I give to charities when I want to and the hell with this guilt crap.

No need to cancel. I reached out Walmart via live chat to ask them how I could go about canceling because the renewal cost was to high and the rep instantly offered me the $49 renewal.
Thanks. I went to the cancellation screen and right there I saw a button offering my next year for $49. I just clicked it and got it. Not sure it's a good value but hopefully some good Black Friday deal I can take advantage of.

Tipping is still optional on the grocery delivery orders. If you tip zero, Walmart will increase the bid to the dash driver. So you don't need to tip. Let Walmart pay the service provider enough
Is that confirmed?
