Do you tip your Amazon drivers or your mailman/person?

The tipping culture is out of control in the U.S.

Businesses (should) pay their employees and staff fair wages and health insurance, and the consumer should pay for the products. It's just that simple.

I shop and deliver for Walmart. They have created algorithms to give drivers a certain amount regardless of the tip amount. An order with no tip Walmart will pay $11 and if you add a $7 tip, the driver gets the same $11 but now it's broken into Walmart Pays $4 and customer tip $7.

They're using the tips to underpay the drivers and make bigger profits !

Tipping is still optional on the grocery delivery orders. If you tip zero, Walmart will increase the bid to the dash driver. So you don't need to tip. Let Walmart pay the service provider enough
is this true?

Yes it is, they add a tip automatically but you can adjust it.

I order from Walmart all the time, and there isn't even an option to tip. Guess maybe if I did a grocery order and had that delivered? I ordered some boxer briefs the other day and they came in one day, no tip option.
if its food there is 100% a chance to tip. Grocery is different.

My Amex has $49 cash back when purchasing $98 Walmart + membership. Can it stack with this promotion to make it free?
No, you have to charge the $98 in a single transaction to trigger the credit. It's $49 if you use this deal, or you buy the $98 membership and trigger the credit for the same $49 final price. If they charge tax, than the $49 is a better deal by a few bucks.

So with W+ can you buy gas at Sams Club pumps even if you don't have a Sams membership?
Yes you can. I was at Sam's club the other day and it wouldn't accept my membership scan due to a system glitch. It was wanting a physical card. I went inside to get one and they said they've done away with cards and many people were having the same issue that day. I asked if I can use W+ and they (incorrectly) said you can't. But luckily I searched online before leaving and came to know W+ is accepted. I tried it, and sure enough it worked.

That being said, I compared prices at my local area and Walmart gas was cheaper than Sam's club after the 10c W+ discount.

Mine expires in a week, I will cancel it. Let's see if I get an offer to renew it at the 50% off price. Even at that rate I'm not so sure it's worth it for me, I don't buy much from Walmart. I use the 10 cents off at gas station but in a few months I'm replacing my gas powered car with an EV so won't benefit from that anymore.
No need to cancel. I reached out Walmart via live chat to ask them how I could go about canceling because the renewal cost was to high and the rep instantly offered me the $49 renewal.

Cool. Do you tip USPS, FedEx, DHL, Amazon? You are already paying for the service. Why am I tipping? Maybe I should get tipped for posting comments. Send me $1 for bringing you knowledge. Walmart is passing the cost of their service off to you with these tipping scams. Every service from Uber to Doordash underpay their drivers while charging 30-50% more for the product. Who suffers? Stop supporting tipped services.
Absolutely right! The drivers are earning for what they are doing and I am not contracting the driver directly. I have been promised a delivery free of cost for which I already paid to the store (WM). How the store gets it delivered is upto them and I take no responsibility of that

People who compare these with the restaurant service, please remember that the delivery person doesnt stand at my door until I come and open the door. Also doesnt he wait until I verify if the things were delivered exactly how I wanted and for the last part he doesnt bother about the quality of the products he delvered too.

They upgraded everyone for free during prime deal days, but you can pay $60/yr for premium if you missed it.
Was it an upgrade for life or just the end of the current subscription.

Not sure how I missed it.
