I was getting excited when I saw a cord and thought, wow, it is both battery and plug in but then realized it's only plugged in...lol. I guessed it's still good since it's half off...right? Would have loved a battery operated one Smilie

Yeah, I think I'll wait for a deal on a hybrid version. Seems like a decent deal for this though although I don't have first hand experience.

Very curious how this compares to the similar spec RIDGID 4 Gallon 5.0 Peak that's always on sale this time of year.

In case you aren't aware, there's a battery only option (which I just learned is on sale and posted here [lowes.com]) and a battery + corded option also on sale (just the vacuum for $135 in cart here [lowes.com]). I've had the latter for years and it's been amazing.

All of these shop vacs need to come with a longer flexible hose. When cleaning a car you end up with the loud machine blowing hot air on you when using it. poor design of many shop vacs.
