I'm thinking of using these to secure a pull-down attic ladder to the frame/joists. These look heavy duty enough to do the job.
Any experts or experienced Sd'ers think this is a bad idea?

If you are saying you are doing this for EXTRA security, go for it. If you are just straight up DIYing a pull down ladder and only using these to connect to the joist, it might be a better idea to go with a kit…

these are probably 30-40 cents each at HD, so seems like a good deal.

This appears like another Hillman deal. 25 pack. 1/2 x 6 zinc lag screw. $0.44 each. I think $2 at Home Depot.

Nice. I picked these up, instead. Needing to fasten some 2x4's to trees *temporarily* (else I'd use galvanized or timberloks, I think).

$46 for box of 25 at my local HD:

I'm not seeing anything about this being a 25 pack in that link? Looks like a single lag?

I don't need these right now but have used them in the past. 50 for $5 shipped. Hard to find a deal like that right now.
