This tv is utter CRAP. Colors are super washed out when viewed from any off center angle and to some extent when viewed from directly. None of the adjustments helped improve color. By the time football season came around I noticed that the grass color was a pale lime green with white tones in between as though the tv needed to be treated with iron, nitrogen, milorganite AND ironite. I purchased the 43" and returned it. Due to all the hype from reviews I then purchased the 55", same results. Also the audio goes out from time to time and I have to unplug to reset. I'm currently using a 32" $99 5year old Spectra (excellent picture in comparison) til BF deals start dropping. So so disappointed in these tv's and equally astonished by all the positive reviews. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Had this one in garage, picture is mediocre, rarely use this TV.
IF you wants a main TV and watch daily, buy different brand.

I have a hisense from 2015 and it's actually been outside under my patio for 3 years now and it still works fine. That TV looked better than my 75" budget samsung TV.

Yeah I forgot to mention in OP but a major part of my decision to buy this is because it includes a Costco 3-year warranty. That's worth let's say $30 to me over buying a similar budget TV from another store/deal.

I actually don't watch TV, any shows, no Netflix/subscriptions of any kind, don't play video games. I literally have zero use for a TV. I just bought it (and a TV stand) to make my place look a little more "normal" and give off less serial killer vibes. Gotten this same exact feedback from like 5 women now

That's something a serial killer would do.

What made you go with the Samsung vs the LG UT8000? Been looking at both in 65" trying to decide Smilie

How does it compare to this TCL S571 or the S470G

Or this LG. They all seem to be in the same price range but I know nothing about TVs

how would this do on a covered patio outdoors?
Don't bother if you watch during the day time.

Speaking from someone who has a hisense roku tv, if there ever is an issue, hisense refuses to work with roku to produce a fix for it. Theres lots of forum posts of people complaining about apps not working on the tv and it's been going on for almost a year and they STILL won't put out a firmware update. If you use any other brand like TCL you don't get these issues.

Most TVs have poor sound. I wonder how good the built in 2.1 one is.

I wonder what's the deal with low end qled tv's. I recall 2 years ago, I brought a cheap $200 55" TCL from BB, when I play any 4k content, the content display is all garbage. The only thing good about this hisense tv is that it is a fire tv so hopefully you will get updates often unlike google tv.
People are not so into the fire TVs, can't get KODI on them easily I think was the argument, if get any apps sideloaded at all.

Thanks, OP, for posting this. Price dropped $30 on the 50" we bought earlier this month. Costco will price adjust for purchases within 30 days. The 3 year warranty from Costco makes it worth a gamble on a budget TV.

I am considering picking up two of these - one for the garage and the other for home office. For my stated use and price point ($380 plus tax for both), should I pull the trigger or wait for something else? Plan would be to replace with firestick when the OS gives up the ghost.

If you need 5 of these, 5 for 160 each is a pretty good deal.
