The G29 is a great entry level wheel for someone looking to get into the hobby. If you want to upgrade down the road then go for it and you'll be able to resell the G29 at a minimal loss.

I was just you, going to get the Logitech because it was cheaper. But when you go down the rabbit hole you'll understand why it's worth starting with belt driven. For example, this thing is loud when it comes to force feedback. And it is well known that it doesn't pick up little inputs, Like if you want to slightly turn the wheel to align your car, it usually doesn't register until you turn the wheel enough.
This thing would be better for a little kid where you know they won't really get interested. For anyone that actually wants to get into sim racing, belt standard. If you have a PC, there are some decently affordable direct drive systems out there since they don't have to pay a console license.
