One of the 1st Dolby Vision 75" displays with local dimming and all the bells and whistles? Still looks good after 8 years. You don't know what you're talking about about.

I believe the QD7 is a few tiers below the U7 no local dimming etc

Can't beat Costco's deal. Same price with a total warranty of 5 years and includes free installation.

Exactly, plus you can request a refund of the value of mounting service ($150) because they never show up - bringing your cost down to $1650, which is a steal

Most these comments have no clue what they are taking about. I have a 75" Hisense that's now 1 year old and couldn't be happier! The picture quality is insane for the price, sounds good for TV speakers though I use a bar etc, software hasn't been an issue and the actual device runs great. These companies aren't great out the box, they do usually begin to make very good products. Hisense is in that category and they started a turn around about 2 years ago. Just like Hyundai or Kia, now all you see is Palisades and Tellurides everywhere.

If you buy a Hisense, definitely get an extended warranty. You may think they have "started a turn around about 2 years ago" but there are still numerous reports of failure in this brand. Just because you have had a good experience for only a year doesn't mean it's not a risk. You can minimize that risk by buying an extended warranty - I can't imagine much worse scenario then spending $1700 on 200lbs of ewaste that you can not dispose of without paying someone $200 just to haul it off.

High energy cost and will break in a few years
Even at this size it is not near as bad as a 50" plasma.
A 65 LCD TV with CCFL backlight would probably use more energy than this TV.

Hisense TVs reminds me of the time my company ordered cheap pens from a Chinese manufacturer.
The pens looked and were very cheap but somehow their performance was similar to a Mont Blanc pen.
Regardless... Their lifespans were short and a few released all the ink at once.

I'm still rocking my Hisense 55H8C that I bought in 2017 with no issues. I use it for multiple hours every day. Guess I got lucky. Oh, and it was a refurb when I bought it.

I don't see any reason why someone would choose this over the Costco deal that includes extended warranty, free mounting service, and $100 Google Play gift card for the same price.
