I weight approx 190 and 225 feels like not a lot of wiggle room. Just me?

That's my thought as well. The only difference is that you could lean this against a wall without unfolding it, but the step stool won't let you do that and it needs to have all 4 feet in level'ish ground. I can't think of a time when I'd want to do that, but I'm sure somebody has a scenario somewhere.

MAX Test Load 280lbs.
