I'm looking for a 40" to use as a PC monitor. Research tells me that I need one that supports chroma 4:4:4 for clear text. I see that this one does not.

But, the Roku brand 40" does. I'll hold out to see if that one goes on sale.

Not sure if the newer model (2023 model = also on sale) supports chroma 4:4:4 but you can check this one out here [bestbuy.com] for $139.99 and little pricier but here [bestbuy.com] is a 40" Roku on sale for $169.99. Otherwise, you might want to wait until BF!

I have a Samsung smart tv, I just never connected it to my WiFi. Still use my firestick, no issues.

I can buy 18 of these for the ame price as a 100 in TV and put them all together on my wall to make 120 in. Nice.then buy like 4 for when some burn out.

It's 1080p. For a computer monitor - having used a 40" Vizio for the past eight years - you really want 4k for running multiple windows.
