I think the 2024 Voice Remote Pro includes a new button that allows a Quick Launch style feature within the Roku interface. It has backlit buttons and supposedly improved battery life. Honestly not a lot different aside from the remote. The new one will assuredly benchmark a little higher, but I'd bet the differences are fairly negligible. FWIW I have, and still use daily, 3 Roku Ultras from 2018. I'm noticing them getting ever so slightly more sluggish with app launching, but it's not anything that really bothers me. We're literally talking a couple extra seconds.

Aside from the price difference and UI preference differences, are there any big reasons anyone still chooses Roku over Apple TV? I've migrated three of my four Roku's to Apple TV and haven't looked back.

As an iPhone/AirPod household, we love the nice integration for remote controlling and listening. I did love the Roku interface but not enough to lose these things.

Since you have both, do both have a microphone shut-off switch on the remotes, to disable the always-listening microphone? Or just the 2022?

We tried Apple TV, actually all of them, and still ended up coming back to Roku. We have iPhones, AirPods , iPads….apple stuff.

Not Shute how you would lose those things…Roku has done that for years now.

Roku is simple, has good remote, and just works. I can use any headphones with it as well or use my phone as the speaker if I wanted too. Sometimes I do that at night when it's just me up.

Really like the Google tv 4K streamer too, as we have YouTube TV and nest cameras. The Google photos as ambient screen is the best out there by far. But….it became a bit sluggish, and didn't play well with Dolby Vision content after a few updates.

I have not tried the new Google streamer, but I might in the future.

For us, Apple is not with the cost over a Roku, when Rokus work great…and have airplay as well.

Dang just bought the Roku Ultra LT from walmart for $68.00...Haven't received it yet. Will Walmart let me return it for no reason, unopened?

It irritates me they have put the USB on the back of the new Ultras. I have an older Ultra with it on the side and it works so much better for me.

This is not backlit? İ think back light is a huge improvement and required these days.
I have been using Rokus since they came out but lately with more tvs coming with Google apps, I stopped using roku. I got fed with ads on TV so I just bought lower version of this but I think it's a little slow. Would this be much faster?
