Still had to pay taxes and activation fee. But for about $100 it was a good deal. Stacking that with military discount, I pay $45 a month for plan and phone combined. Locked in for 3 years is a bit of a pain, but it was a killer deal.

Galaxy has too many "stuffs" that I don't use and I found myself preferring the Google apps. But my families stay with Galaxy. The other stay with iPhone. The latest apple shenanigan was that they determine that my foreign songs don't comply with their DRM and remove them all from my library.
They all work about the same, cost about the same.
Anyway, I switched to Pixels with the P7, then P8P, then P9PXL.
To me, the Pixels are absolutely superior to the Galaxy phones. I helped set up my wife's S24+ and was immediately reminded about how ridiculously bloateware ridden Samsung phones are. There are two apps and two ecosystems for everything - Samsung and Google.
The camera on the Pixel, at least on the 8 and 9, are also significantly better than the regular Galaxy's ( never had the Ultras, so can't compare).
The only things I miss is that my new Galaxy Watch does not support all the features when paired with my Pixel. Also miss the Samsung email app.
Edit. With that said, I wouldn't pay $900 for a 128gb. Not Pixel, not any other phone. There are better deals to be had.

That said, I didn't say bad - just a pain. If it's $100+ off, id still go for it.
Not going to though. Happy with my Galaxy a54 - not dumping money into a flagship phone.
