I tried from BoA mobile app selected Newegg deal and then navigated to this screen
Outside its scale, Bank of America Merrill Lynch is consistently one of the worst-rated financial institutions in the United States, particularly so among banks. Its credit card business is fine as far as credit card servicers go, that said.
Then you have Newegg, which has a similarly poor reputation since its sale to a foreign entity pre-COVID followed by multiple scandals and substantial decline in service quality.
If you're a diehard Newegg fan and need a credit card this is an alright deal, but be forewarned regarding sales and service of both of these organizations.
This isn't a credit card promotion. This is a limited time cash back deal BOA is running for purchases made on Newegg.
That being said, I just bit the bullet on a TV. Hopefully they don't change the T&C and I see the full 15%.
Not to rain on your parade: Hope you get a 15% discount on a TV! That's nothing to sneeze at; I'm more talking to folks that might think about engaging with one institution or the other that haven't used them before. A 15% discount on purchases at a single consumer electronics outlet online is definitely not a great incentive to open a BoA account.
