Sony's sound better but Bose fit more comfortably. I keep the Bose strictly for flights, Sony's for day to day use!

These are slightly better than QC45 but if you already have the 45, I'd say not worth the upgrade.

And I just got the soft case from Costco. Same price and black color. But the soft case is not good enough to protect the headphones. Going to return the SC from Costco. Will order directly from Bose website with a hard protective cover.
SC is only a dust cover and not a protection from any damage.

These. The only thing beats has going for it is the battery life and compact size. These have better sound, better comfort, ANC, multipoint connection, higher quality build.

Sony XM5 vs Bose QC
Pros for Sony:
1. Longer Battery Life, up to 30 hours with noise cancellation on, compared to 24 hours for Bose.
2. More balanced Sound Quality, known for a natural, detailed sound that suits various music genres. Better and more crispy bass.
3. LDAC is a bit better than AptX.
4. Adaptive Sound Control.
Cons:
1. Non foldable design, very bulky case for traveling.
2. Feel very warm and sweaty during extended use.

Im considering buying Bose just for traveling, but Black color is not on sale. Not sure about other colors.

Just ordered a pair from Bose with a 10% off coupon for signing up and 5% cash back from a shopping portal. Would have been great if I could have stacked with an Amex offer but still a solid deal.
Buy directly from Bose for less and without the worry of getting a counterfeit device from Amazon. F Bezos 😂 😂
