Sony's sound better but Bose fit more comfortably. I keep the Bose strictly for flights, Sony's for day to day use!

These are slightly better than QC45 but if you already have the 45, I'd say not worth the upgrade.

I have tried a lot of headphones and the only one that fits my huge dome and dumbo ears are the QC45. I just got the QC Ultra today and it's not as comfortable as QC45 or maybe I need to break them in? A lot of people on reddit (and some comments in past deal post here) were saying the Ultra aren't as comfy as QC45.

With that said, does this take care of that audio cutting out when using multi point connection? That was my only gripe with QC45 and I went down the rabbit hole on how to fix it and got nowhere. Some people say turn off Hands free telephony on windows which didn't work. I was trying to figure out how to do that on my Mac since it's my daily driver but still can't find that setting. In the mean time, I turned off multi point device.

It is an updated successor, they cut the numbers out to make it less confusing. Instead of QC 35, 45, & 45 SE, it's now QC and QC Ultra

What is the playback glitching you had? I flew this past weekend and the sound would cut out but the video would keep going on my Kindle Fire 8". I would have to pause for a few seconds and then resume to get the sound back. I couldn't diagnose it but my QC45 were connected to my iPhone and Kindle.

Just bought the Costco "SC" and compared to my Quietcomfort QC35 is the same sound quality! There's no difference between the two! I test a few more weeks before returning back to Costco!

How's the sound vs the qc 35ii? I bought the more expensive QuietComfort ultra and they are not as loud and sound flat. Very disappointed for the premium.
