Just get the CH Hanson magnetic stud finder, it's way more accurate

Trash. Not worth your $6. I have better accuracy with my fist and ears.

Same at my Lowe's, so it's not a one-off.

This will give you a ballpark of where the nail is. Most nails are not going to be 100% in the center.

I am not saying to buy this but probably need to get a more expensive stud finder.

I have been using this around my house for a few years now. Not fancy, but it's cheap and has been a good stud-finding aid for me.

You are better off buying a strong magnet and using it to help find the nails or screws in the studs.... the maintenance man uses the powerful magnets at work all the time to find studs in the wall.... Put a little blue tape on it so you don't scratch the wall.

I would suggest anyone just take the plunge and get a Franklin Sensors stud finder. The multi-sensor + led strip display, in my opinion, is astronomically superior; less prone to both human and machine error. These cheap stud finders are more hassle than they're worth.

This works, but is sometimes annoying to use. You sometimes have to use it over and over to get an accurate reading. I would get a different cheap brand.

Yeah, I have been using it for years and never once missed a stud...when I had a craftsman electric, it was a 50/50 shot LMAO
