Yes I can weigh in. I bought this very TV in this size and it came in shattered on one side. Even though I had the regular warranty and the extended 2 year warranty they refused to send a replacement, told me I would have to return and reorder. The shipping agency, RXO that brought it said 3 of the same TV's they went to deliver were shattered that week alone in just my area. I had to fight with Samsung to honor the original price on the reorder, so much so that all the song and dance I went through left me thinking otherwise on this and just never reordered.

I also bought an 85" from Samsung last year that arrived in perfect condition. Very different than experience with Greentoe where the same 85" TV arrived with a very heavily damaged box and a cracked screen.

Delivery Originally scheduled for Nov 29th but once its shipped i was able to call RXO and get it scheduled it for 22nd

Slim fit mount was not compatible as per RXO installer. Delivered the TV with no installation. Delivery process was good and they suggested a good Sansui mount for my setup and got it mounted ourselves.

That's crazy, it's just 4 bolts and hangs on the mount. I feel like they didn't know how to use it. Can't see them selling it with it to be Incompatible

I was all set to order this even without the free mount and decided to go check out the 85" QN85DD (not sure what the extra "D" means) at Costco and the 85" QN90D at Best Buy. Unfortunately, no place in town had both to compare side-by-side. My wife and I didn't expect to notice hardly any difference between the two. For some reason, the QN90D at BB seemed to have a much more vibrant picture, much better reflection handling, and much better viewing angles. For both of us, the differences didn't seem that subtle. She is saying "spend the extra $500", but I wonder how much different lighting and source material plays into it. Gonna be a tough decision.

I had a q90r few years back, anti reflection is amazing. If you are next to big window, helps out a lot.

Get whatever she wants. Happy wife happy life.

But get it from Costco, you get 5 year warranty, and will be same price as bb

Everywhere will be 2299 or so, but free delivery and 5 years at Costco.

Yeah, either one I'd be getting from EPP. The Costco 5yr warranty would be great, but EPP is just too big of a savings. My CC extends warranties by 2yrs which is not nearly as good as Costco, but I think 3yrs of total warranty should cover any early death.

Slim fit is practically flush to the wall. Ports for QN85D are on the right side. There are few grooves for wires but they are really thin for regular HDMI cable. If you have more than one regular HDMI cable it will push the TV forward as in it won't be a snug fit (flush to the wall).

Lot of people use Samsung one connect to have a box inside the wall to get the flush look. https://www.customavi.ca/how-to-h...nnect-box/ - check this link it exactly uses slim fit.

anyone successfully connect this tv to their apple tv (gen 4) and control everything via their apple tv remote? I can control the volume but not consistently the power, on/off.

Was supposed to receive the TV on Dec 13 but it reached RXO on Nov 22. Called RXO and moved my installation date to Dec 2nd. Fingers crossed!
