Yes I can weigh in. I bought this very TV in this size and it came in shattered on one side. Even though I had the regular warranty and the extended 2 year warranty they refused to send a replacement, told me I would have to return and reorder. The shipping agency, RXO that brought it said 3 of the same TV's they went to deliver were shattered that week alone in just my area. I had to fight with Samsung to honor the original price on the reorder, so much so that all the song and dance I went through left me thinking otherwise on this and just never reordered.

I also bought an 85" from Samsung last year that arrived in perfect condition. Very different than experience with Greentoe where the same 85" TV arrived with a very heavily damaged box and a cracked screen.

They easily(for once) live chatted and had the price difference($159) refunded. A lot easier then getting the mount they had me order separately refunded, but after escalating they did. Still waiting for delivery at the end of the mouth, the adjustable mount shouldn't be an issue just the slim?

So far got $75 credit for the initial delivery delay. RXO guy said the slim mount won't work, contacted Samsung and got $170 partial refund for inconvenience + will get $130 store credit once mount is returned. They want me to reach back out for price adjustment as it is now $50 less than my purchase price.
Initial was $1102 for 85" ($1193 after tax) + Slim Mount and Free Mounting Service
  • $200 Samsung Credit (delay + returning mount)
  • $170 refund for inconvenience/keeping TV
  • will ask for $50 price adjustment
Final would essentially be ~$930 for TV (-$50 if they adjust price) + $205 Samsung Credit. Still would need mount (~$100 Sanus from Costco + out of pocket mounting service).
Should I ask them for anything else? Maybe should get $100 more if I don't use their mounting service that was included? Should I ask for the Samsung+ thats $1 on the current deal for this TV?

I got the QNX1D for $1100 back when this promo started , with installation, but no mount since they didn't have it. They swapped me over to a QN85D and I'm still waiting for it. I contacted support and told them the TV price is now lower than when I bought it. They credited me $180. So basically I got the QN85D for $920. The rep said once the refund completes, I can call back and they will give me a promo code to get the mount for free. We'll see how this plays out.

I have purchased this TV with free installation for 1225 + tax = 1310.74. Now the TV price has changed to 1050. So they are giving me a difference of $185 on the above order bringing it down to 1125.74
I placed another new order with the Same TV + Slim mount + Free Installation + Samsung Care+ and with 10% coupon for $945.99 + Tax = $1012.21
The original order is scheduled to Deliver on Dec 19th and the New Order scheduled to deliver for Feb 27th.
More than 2 + months extra wait time but Save $113.53, free slim mount and Samsung Care + included. Is it worth the wait for those extras and extra $113?

I was told today by RXO that the slim mount doesnt work well with the 85". I ended up ordering a Sanus from Costco with install and getting the mount credit for a return (see above). Not worth the extra hassle and wait dor a slim mount.

Based on the others having RXO having an issue with the slim mount not working well, I had RXO use my existing mount and will try to sell the slim mount. I called Samsung, who would be happy to do the return; however, as it's a promotional item, it gives me $0 back via chat. After saying the TV has gone cheaper without a mount that does not work for it, and as I was within my return window, the mention of a possible return prompted them to offer $170 credit back (to the card used). That $170, plus the cash back site and getting WoW points (redeemed for a $100 gift card), extremely happy.

So this deal became even better, with $170 coming back. I saved the chat/screenshot in case they don't follow through. Thanks to those who mentioned the slim mount doesn't work.

The TV looks great, very bright for the room, which is very dark. Can't imagine how bright the QN90D would be.

Did Samsung deliver the TV set earlier than the scheduled date for anyone? I am not concerned about the actual delivery date but wondering if they do earlier delivery than scheduled and I may not be available to accept it.

we couldn't get a better tv for our 900-1000 dollar prices we all got ours for. Extremely good tv's especially since these was only like 300 dollar upgrades since I sold the other tvs for 600 a piece. (like Q60) lol

I agree. I sold my 2017 Samsung to my in-laws for $300. My wife quickly noticed the much better picture, and I still have not really calibrated it besides turning off ECO and that contrast enhancer/HDR enhancer.

Not that I saw. They should call you the day before and will also send you an email where you can change the date. Some did have their delivery date get pushed back.

I can't believe Samsung is selling QN85D for $1,979.99 + tax and we are getting this for less than $900 (incl tax) after all the discounts. QNX1D is the same version as QN85D with 2 feet vs the center stand (that's the ONLY difference, lol). This is what I call a slick deal!

How did you get two discounts? Just got the tv delivered but haven't opened it yet. The installation is scheduled for another day and I couldn't get a mount when I ordered.

Did any of you tip the delivery/install guys? My power kit is already in place and studs are marked from the old mount. It'll be almost a month and a half since I ordered.
