I'm a big fan of 3M products, but I don't see the value of this product. Monkey hooks are cheap, seem to be less destructive and easier to patch, and support more weight. The following is $4 for 20 that advertise supporting up to 100lbs: https://www.amazon.com/Picture-Ha...129&sr=1-3
I did not know this was a thing. This looks awesome. Does it work well?

Based on the pictures it looks like it could move around and drop your picture/frame.

I agree in 99% of situations but it's good to have a backup plan in case there's a stud in the way. Can't push a hook through that.

Just moved out and removed this and various other picture hooks. These left the smallest of holes which were easy to spackle over.

I've used these a few months back, good deal at this price.
Pros: easy to use, very sturdy, low profile against the wall
Cons: a bit wider than other metal hooks so it may show when used with artwork/frames with side hangers, especially with the bright silver color metal against darker colored wall

This is a great product. Thank you OP.

Costco has a 9 pack 3 each for 15/25/45 Lbs which I prefer for all my paintings.

My use case for 3M claws was to hang satellite speakers on the wall. I have also used it to hang a projector screen.

For that purpose I had to use the 45lb claws instead of 15 lb even though the weight of the satellite speakers was well below 15lb. 45 lb version has bigger claws that help.

I use the 65lb ones to hang Klipsch surround 44lbs speakers on the wall. No problems ever.

You've got a good eye. It could move around and drop your picture if you don't put it exactly in correctly. But once you put it in correctly it kind of, snaps, goes into place. And then it doesn't rotate.

I've used these in airbnb's where we needed to get them up and going quickly. They're great. I used OOK brand. I hung a mirror which is pretty heavy a couple of years ago. It's still hanging no problems

I'm also wondering if the tip on the inside will grab onto the wall since it looks like it could be sharp. The more weight you put on it, the more it grabs.

How would monkey hooks work on my insulation packed walls? It looks like the hook would tear the insulation paper (vapor barrier).

They work pretty well. They do not support anywhere near 100 lbs though. Even if the hook survives, the weight will pull it through the drywall. I would say about ten pounds. Our heavier frames have multiple spots on the back to hang and using them has worked fine. So, two hooks on the heavy ones.
