I just popped in to say that for anyone shopping for an awesome digital piano for under $1,000.00, this Roland FP30x is IT! And this is an awesome package.
I spent several months researching which digital piano to get in this price bracket (under $1,000.00) and I am ABSOLUTELY thrilled with this digital piano. I can't recommend it enough.
And, it has a lowkey cult following in the Used digital piano market so if you ever need to sell it in the next year or 2, I'm sure you would get at least $450.00 from it. Just search Roland FP30x on any used forum and they sell pretty quick. I've even seen people asking $600 used!!
Definitely worth the extra money over the Roland FP-10 (imho.)
Anyway, good luck! Just my .02!

Did you also try Casio PX-870 Privia before buying Roland FP30x? Any opinion? Thanks.

I don't have any personal experience with the Casio PX-870. The only other digital piano that I have personal experience with is the Yamaha P-125. Which is also a nice piano. I have no complaints about the Yamaha P-125. From my perspective, the Roland FP-30x is definitely a notch above the Yamaha P-125 and from what I've read, the Casio may very well be a notch even above that. But, I can't speak to it personally. I think that it might come down to what can you get on sale and what features fit your desires the best? By features I mean the action of the keys and perhaps bluetooth connectivity and such. I think that, maybe for my next piano I might leap up to a Yamaha Clavinova with wooden keys. BUT, Korg and Yamaha and Casio and Roland and Nord and Kawai and others are all making such amazing digital pianos these days that it all comes down to what you can afford, what features you need and then what goes on an amazing sale. Best of luck to you! Smilie

I did some poking around and AZ Piano just did this amazing review of the Casio px-870. While I've never met them, I've read enough of their reviews that I would definitely trust their assessment. They seem to think VERY HIGHLY of the PX-870 Smilie

I had never even heard of the Roland FRP Nuvalo until you asked this. So thank you! The Costco Roland package used to be a repackaged FP10. That is NO longer the case. This new FRP Nuvalo seems to be something brand new and pretty awesome. While it technically uses a different sound engine than the FP30x, it is at least comparable. If you can get the deal at Costco for $599.00 with the full cabinet and 3 pedal array and the Nuvalo has bluetooth too! For $599, that seems like an amazing deal to me! I still love the Roland FP30x, but, this Nuvalo is DEFINITELY a contender! It would honestly be a difficult choice! But, the Nuvalo looks pretty awesome! If it came in white I would be super tempted to buy it! I don't even know why, but I love the look of white digital pianos. Good luck!!!

As hard as this might be for some to believe, the action in that Casio is better than both the Yamaha 184 and FP-30X. Everything else the Roland is better.
