This is an amazing deal if the size is right for you. I bought one of these for 6500 1 year ago in size s4, I'm 5'10" This is in my opinion the best electric assist MTB out there. It has totally changed the game for me and many of my friends. Don't hesitate to jump on this. Again, it is electric assist not throttle. You will ride to places you never could before. Oh they will ship to my area code 94952 for 200.

At my usual bike park there are basically 3 loops in the main area. On my e-mtb I can do 2 loops of the big loop, or 1 of each loop. I get an amazing workout and I have a really good time doing it. And I get to choose how hard the ride is with the pedal assist settings.

On my non-electric bike I can do 1 of the medium loops and I my legs and lungs are on fire. The ride is short, it's not a great workout, and it's not all that much fun because I feel like I'm going to die during the climb.

I'm not in great shape but my e-mtb gets me out there, it's great fun, and I can choose if I want a long ride where I can cover a lot of distance or difficult ride where I really push myself. I love my e-mtb.

So I guess you feel the same way about cars? You must power your car around town with your feet like Fred Flintstone.
I ride way more miles and experience more terrain on my ebike vs manual. Not everyone has a lift option.

Do you go size up or down if you're between size?

Down if you want to be more nimble and up if you like a bit more room / additional stability.

Shipping kills the deal.
It's a little much at $200 but they offer two options. Fully built or non-assembled. It's a no-brainer for the first option. Having a shop build it would add cost.

If your torso is longer and you have shorter legs for your height, you'll want to size up so you get the additional reach, and you'll just lower your seat a bit. If you have longer legs but shorter torso for your height, then you'll want to size down for a more comfortable reach and just raise your seat more to compensate for your longer legs. If you have an average length torso and average legs, then it will just depend on whether you'll want the bike to feel more nimble (size down) or more stable (size up).

It's not the bike world. It's your currency losing 50% of its purchasing power.
You obviously don't pay attention to the bike world, because it is specifically bikes. The bike companies over-produced thinking the increase in sales during the pandemic would continue, which did not happen. There is a long lead time from when the bike company places orders with the component manufacturers to when those components actually get used, so they are guessing at customer demand, and they guessed wrong, leading to an over-supply of bikes. And if the currency is losing purchasing power, it would make things more expensive, not cheaper. Your high school Business teacher should have been fired.

My local shop sells these for $4500 otd for the past few years. They are old geometry, heavy as hell, and ugly. If you're looking for an e-bike you can do better.

Muscle bike or bust. These cost almost as much as a Toyota and are basically one step away from using the old people scooters at the grocery store.

What's the name of the shop? Interested in looking at one in person.

Not necessarily better, but was better for me. I went with GasGas Trail 3.0 because I liked the Fox setup and the overall size of the bike, I'm 6'6".

This place shipped to me in PA with no tax and $200~ shipping. They have quiet a few eMtb at great clearance prices.

I'm in ❤️ with my eMtb, those who trash it are just lacking knowledge. It's easy to think it's about putting in less effort, but it's more about amplifying effort for max experience. I tow my kids uphill for more runs + more practice at our no-charge trailheads that rival pay parks. I could consider it paying itself off $50 x 3 each trip if I wanted, but I don't care. It's already brought me $3000 worth of Joy in 1/2 a season.

Bought my wife a Yamaha at $2000 as Christmas gift to up her game. Yamaha bike are possibly the best value out there now, if you are ok with 27.5.

As a road cyclist, I pedal 10 miles to the trailhead on my eBike, while the 'real' cyclists load bikes on their car rack and drive to the trailhead. It reminds me of that funny video of a mountain biker complaining about eBikers being lazy, while they're riding a ski lift to the top of the mountain.

Very tempted to get this deal since the S2 is my size but I just got the Yamaha Wabash RT deal. I have a Specialized Creo with Range Extender which should work on this bike as well. But this is definitely a way better deal than the Yamaha Moro 07 at $2.7k + extra battery.

Since Yamaha has pulled out of the ebike market, parts and support for those might be hard to come by in the future. I would expect Specialized to provide parts and support for these bikes for quite some time.

I can't understand how people say this is a good deal? It is only 565watt motor. Not very powerful. Regular price is 10k? Jeez you are better off just buying a used car!
But at this sale price of 4k that is still outrageous for this bike. I would say 1500 regular price. And 1000 sale would be a pretty good deal because it seems like a very well built bike. But $4k is just nuts!
