It's a great price for parts and labor already being done for you especially for console users switching to PC that have never built a Gaming PC. The cheapest LGA 1700 combos go for $300+, a 4060 goes for around $300, 1 TB NVMes go for around $60. Your getting more than 100% of your money on parts, as your getting $900+ in parts and $0 build fee with warranty for $700.

Having said that an RX 6800 or 6750 XT smokes the 4060 and I recently built a $700 PS5 Pro Killer PC for the same $700 with a 5600X, RX 6800 and 32 GB RAM which is a much better build than this as I can run any new AAA game at 4K60 Ultra.

So even though it's a great deal (especially for new PC users), it's an okay build that gives the PS5 Pro a fight, but nothing worth considering as a powerful gaming pc that is gonna be destroying the PS5 Pro.

I haven't priced the parts individually. What's the general consensus on this being a great deal or not?

The problem with both of them is the 4060. I dont think the BB computer is worth the $200 more for a entry level gaming machine. Stick with this deal if time is a factor.

If you get this pc. Id buy another stick of ram, shouldnt be more than $40.

Good deal if you want a gaming pc and you budget is $700! You won't do significantly better in 2024 in my opinion. Don't buy a more expensive configuration of this. I wouldn't advise anyone to purchase a 13th or 14th gen Intel CPU. If you have $800-$900 I would be looking at a Ryzen 7600 with DDR5 and a 4060ti. And to the guy that mentioned a HP Omen, please no! Proprietary components that are substandard. I have personal experience with a HP desktop that spends all of its time in factory service.

This. Honestly it would be nice if there was a version of this with a 7600 instead of a 4060, comparable performance and would cost 40-60 less.

If you're going to upgrade the RAM, it should be done in matched pairs, which is predominantly why they're sold that way.

Using mismatched RAM prevents you from using XMP, but can also cause the motherboard to address the memory as single channel which effectively halves your bandwidth.

In worst case scenarios, mismatched timings can also lead to instability.

And, at the very least, the RAM is always going to use the common denominator between them when it comes to clock speeds. So buying a slower DIMM means every DIMM will run slower and buying a faster one is made inconsequential.
