I'm mulling over replacing my GeForce 1660ti 6gb that came with my HP prebuilt. It's been a solid computer for what I paid ($400) 4 years ago and the 1660ti has been able to hang on with what I play. It looks like this would definitely be an upgrade, but probably wouldn't really future proof me much.
Thoughts?
I had identified the RX 6750 XT as the ideal once I can get it for a deal.

The 1660ti is about equal to a GTX 1070 while a RX 6600 is about equal to a GTX 1080 -it's definitely an upgrade, but a relatively small one.
My advice is to aim for an RX 7700XT on a steep sale ($320 or less) -they're around $370 at the moment which is only $20 more than I paid for my son's RX 6700XT about a year ago, but I reckon they'll still drop lower.

I'd possibly consider an RX 6800 if you can find a decent deal on one. Still around $300 though with a deal.
