When I was a kid in the 80s there was a Godzilla marathon on TV, and it was announced a week or two in advance telling people to send your name and address in an envelope to the TV station for a chance to win a copy of a vhs of 1 of the random Godzilla movies being shown on that day and they would announce the winners during the marathon. They announced my name and I won a vhs copy of "Godzilla Vs. Mothra", I've always been a Godzilla fan

!!! I wished I was you! Those Godzilla movie marathons were the best- we would wake up early n ready for Saturday morning cartoons and watch Godzilla marathon instead until my neighbor would come over then watch another few hours, smashin snacks and mystery science theatering the whole thing. Good times!

After having watched most of these movies during my lifetime, they are not worth the price. Other than the original 1954 B&W, you have to be a true fan to sit through most of the others.

The original Godzilla, Shin Godzilla, and Minus 1, most of them are just 'big monsters fight' sprinkled with some random human story.
Yeah, I guess if you don't like Kaiju fights, skip them (the 3 I mentioned don't have other entrants into the ring, it's just Godzilla as a force of humanity's idiocy). But to say they are 'only for true fans' is a bit reductive. Maybe skip this if you don't particularly like them, but some classics outside the 3 are good, such as Godzilla v. Mothra, Godzilla v. Biolante, and others.
