This model 16 gb ram/256 gb SSD was never $1299 (512 gb SSD is). Bestbuy is also selling currently for $999 so this deal is only $10 cheaper. If you have a BBY membership it's $950.

This was my thought too. I thought this model is a base model now and should be sold under $1,000 anyway.

You can get this model from Apple educational store at 999 . $10 saving is not a deal.

BB is showing me $1099 for the M3 16/256 model, they've got the M2 for $999. Also, I have BB Plus and not seeing $50 off of it, is that just for the Total membership?

This is the base model MBA M3 now. It's $999 with the EDU discount (which anyone can and should use).

$10 off $1k? Not a deal.

not bad. It is $100 cheaper than the Apple Edu pricing co sidering it's for the 10 core GPU.

This deal is really good. The same Macbood is 1049 at Bestbuy, Costco , or Apple store.
This deal is M3 8 core CPU, 8 core GPU, 16Bg, 256 SSD.
Most of people replied in this chat compare with other M3, which is only 8 core CPU in compared to this deal 10 core GPU

What you see the macbook at BBY or Costo, or Apple store similar to that price contains only 8core CPU - 8 core GPU
This deal laptop has 8core CPU - 10 core GPU. Graphic display will be much faster for action display.
