However, you probably are going to be wanting a 4Ah battery for the chainsaw. You can pick up a 4Ah compact battery [homedepot.com] for $59. At that point you're best off looking for a charger on Facebook Marketplace.
Another alternative would be a 3Ah battery and charger [homedepot.com] for $99. Although, you could get two 3Ah [homedepot.com] without a charger for the same price and pick up a charger from Marketplace.
Otherwise, there are several deals at the moment that have multiple batteries but they would be much more out of pocket.

I use mine to cut hardwoods and have even cut trees with a 24" diameter. Takes a lot more work then my gas powered with a larger blade but less work then the amount of cord pulls a seldom used gas saw can require. I ride my saw hard, felling large diameter trees and even having gotten this tool stuck in trunks and forcing it out the paddle has remained undamaged and unbent. Which is surprising as it is quite thin.
There is a terrible oil leak problem so I try to calculate how much oil I will use as the rest will end up on the floor. It will leak oil.
If you are already invested in the Dewalt system then this saw is a no brainer. Even with the oil leak, this saw at this price and the convenience it offers makes it a very very useful tool.
Two 4amp batteries and a quick charger will keep you running all day.

My first one never did leaked the many years I used it. The new one I bought a month ago was filled with oil and I've checked where it sits and no leak. So I feel like it's not all the saws that leak but most of them [dewalt.com]. I got fortunate. However, a very real problem that Dewalt should have fixed. I feel bad for those that have had this issue. Quite irritating.
The leak might be why we've seen two SD post recently for this product

EDIT: found this for NY

I've had this same chainsaw for a year and it works great. Upgraded it to a 14 inch bar and it does very well with soft wood.
