After doing the $5 sub I didn't see the Skip to Gold under my rewards but it was located on my main page of the Play Store app. Here is a screenshot of what to look for if you can't find it: https://imgur.com/a/iPHD9kR

Once I skipped to gold, the 30% off coupon showed up under Perks when you look at your Play Points by clicking the blue point total on the top of the main page https://imgur.com/a/DKZNsyg

If I'm doing the math right

699.3 pre-tax (30% off, P9P)
-360 (P7 Trade in)
= 339.3 pre-tax for upgraded phone

+ $5 /1 month of google play pass for the gold to obtain the 30% off

sounding like a deal? especially pixel phones drop in trade in value every release year...

Currently tried the google play pass, no sign of getting a gold upgrade here

when do I get the trade in return box, have a trip planned next week and will be away for 2 months, can I do store pick up and give the device in store ?

In the Play Store, click your Play Points banner at the top that's highlighted in blue. That brings you to the status screen where you see three tabs: Earn, Use, and Perks.
If you click on Perks, it should show up there if you have it.
