This is a great price on a solid productivity laptop. While this is one of Acer's more budget friendly laptop lines, the compromises Acer made here rarely result in a bad experience.
CPU: Lunar Lake CPU with APU and lower power usage.
iGPU: Intel ARC iGPU is much better than older Intel Iris iGPUs, but still behind AMD 780M.
Good screen resolution with good 400Nits brightness.
RAM: 16GB RAM. Soldered, no upgrades.
Ports: HDM 2.1 & 2x USB-C Thunderbolt 4 PD & DP.
Better build quality than the price tag suggests.
4 Lbs weight is good for a 16" laptop.
Cons:
RAM: Soldered on Board.
Battery Life is 12Hrs, good overall, but similar spec laptops often get 14-16Hrs.
Multi-Core CPU loads get throttled due to cooling issues.
For under $600, this is a laptop that will give you 90% of the performance of a $900 laptop with similar specs. If you need 3D graphics or gaming, or you know that you will need 32GB or RAM, then look elsewhere, but be ready to pay more as well.
If none of the cons are deal breakers for your use case then this is a slick deal on a 14th Gen Intel laptop with a QHD 16" screen.

Has anybody purchased this model? Any comments on build quality, thermals, screen quality, etc.?
Seriously debating between this Acer Vero and the Dell Inspiron 16 currently on sale at costco (https://slickdeals.net/f/17883618-costco-members-dell-inspiron-16-touchscreen-laptop-amd-ryzen-7-8840u-fhd-1920-x-1200-16-gb-ram-1-tb-ssd-windows-11-549-99).
The biggest diffs seem to be cpu (lower power Intel 155u vs. powerful AMD 8840u), build materials (recycled plastic vs. metal + plastic), screen (WQXGA non touch vs. WUXGA touch), and ports (modern usb-c charging, thunderbolt, hdmi 2.1 vs. outdated barrel port charging, usb 3.2 type c, hdmi 1.4).
Would appreciate any feedback to help me make a decision.

The question is whether I should wait for more Black Friday deals or jump on this now? I'm not in a huge rush.
