Also this kit was never worth $330, with the Alesis Nitro Max at $400 and the Donner DED-200 regularly at $360, this is a $250 kit at best. $180 isn't bad for beginners who aren't sure if they'll click with it or not.

Also this kit was never worth $330, with the Alesis Nitro Max at $400 and the Donner DED-200 regularly at $360, this is a $250 kit at best. $180 isn't bad for beginners who aren't sure if they'll click with it or not.

Should I get this or is there something that's a step up that I should look at? Happy to look at used kits too (but I'm in a small market so don't expect to see much on craigslist/marketplace)
Look into getting Clone Hero setup. I've still been "playing" for nearly a year (will be XMas).

The Titan 50 I think is very similar if one or the other is on sale. Both of these have a larger snare drum and a more real-feeling kick tower.
My case is probably really different from most, since I'm primarily a guitarist who has been playing my drummers' kits for decades. To the point which I eventually bought my own acoustic kit for the studio. I've also owned a couple of Roland kits (TD-11). My daughter is now interested in playing drums, so I'm back in the market for an e-kit. Being a kid, she really likes the look of the Titan 70, and I like the sounds from it. It also sits low enough for her to play comfortably. But it has its quirks. Also, GC had them for sale last year at $629. I'm not sure they're going to go back to that price again. On the other hand, used Roland kits are going for around the same price and they're much better (they also hold their value). So I'm torn.
