Is this a significant upgrade over the original hybrid fans? I see 3 speeds on this and the label "whisper", anyone that owns both have any comments?

Yeah for some reason mine is making a horrible noise at low speed. I was planning to use it as a night fan but that noise is unbearable.

I wish this was the bucket top misting version! I don't really have a use case for a regular cordless fan, but the misters are so great that I'd buy a spare to lend out to friends.

If this is the same one I have that I got for 27$ a few months back.

I really enjoy this. At speed 1. It's really quiet. Like I could sleep with it on.

Speed 2 is like someone softly whispering to you from across the room

Speed 3 which is when I'm in need of air for either cooling or circulation. It's loud but I'm still able to speak over it loud. I'd personally recommend this one.

Have had one for about a year...great fan but now it makes a faint chirping noise on high...like the bearing is failing
