I picked up this set when it was on Father's Day sale for $99 a couple years ago and it's good. The blow-molded case can be frustrating, it is really, REALLY hard to pop some of the sockets out and in again, but the set is great. I use it to this day.

Can you bring them back broken parts like Sears and get them replaced?

Yes, just inferior quality.

I absolutely hate any blow molded plastic tool case, every single one I have ever purchased just threw the tools out on the floor every time they were opened! They always get loose after a little use and are worthless

What's the better option for socket sets? Genuinely curious, I don't know that I've seen many other options.

Then you haven't tried one of these Craftsman sets. These things do not like to come out of the case. Your finger tips will feel it.

Literally anything but they have manetic trays or cases that aren't blow molded. There was one linked above that was blow molded but were drawers that slide out even that would be better than a clamshell blow molded case. Something like this is blow molded but they sit in a tray not open clamshell so they fall out everywhere https://www.amazon.com/WORKPRO-45...98&sr=8-85

But currently I am using magnetic holders or my larger sockets are on rails https://www.amazon.com/DURATECH-S...9hdGY&th=1

These don't. Had it for a couple of years now and not one ever popped out. If anything, it's a struggle to get them out.
