Sony Bravia 9 65 inch. Sale price is $2698. On check out at code TIERE4 for additional $250 discount = $2448. They added $202 Tax for out the door $2651. Pretty good price for Sony TV. May get similar discount on different TV size.

It definitely is, but even at this price I think it's hard to justify the upgrade if you have a decent Sony LED made in the last few years. LEDs will get bitter at dimming and OLEDs will get brighter in the coming years. The performance increases year to year are minimal.

My opinion.

I agree to a certain extent
But Sony has to know that they have to bring a LOT to the table to demand the prices they do

For instance you have the Hisesne U8N...granted this Sony TV outperforms it, but in some areas the performance margin is slim. Added to that the Hisense can be bought for $899

I think the Bravia 7 is a closer comparison to the Hisense, to be fair, but there is a premium paid for the Sony name and superior processing.

Even then the Bravia 7 is about 40% percent more and loses to the Hisense U8N in several categories

I personally own a Sony A95L that I got on a " deal" for about $1000 less than the going price
My opinion of it is that its a nice TV but the minimal differences from say an LG G4 is not worth the difference , to my eyes, in the price of the two

I had a Sony Z9D that died recently..granted the Sony had great processing and was built like a tank
But I have to say...while I dont own the Hisense U8N...I am betting if someone had put them side by side in my home ,with an HDR movie, I would have preferred the Hisense U8N

My TV choice was between the Bravia 9 and A95L. Went with the LED because I can not stand OLEDs crushing blacks. Too many dark scenes where I can't see what is happing on the TV. Just not worth it for the slightly better picture.

Are the viewing angles on the Bravia 9 as bad as reviews say or non issue?

I don't see off angle viewing as being that bad. However please go to Best Buy or other store and see for yourself.
