All I can add is that Samsung low end tablets are very poor compared to the Chinese competition. They do high end very well though.

Thanks OP! My S6 Tab battery was starting to show some significant degradation and the FE version is pretty much equivalent in processor speed and RAM but has a bigger battery, 2x storage plus I'll get another 4 years of OS upgrades/support. For $130 after trade-in it was a no brainer.

I did this trade-in a few months ago with a similar deal. Those of you with the S6 Lite that are on the fence, it's defintiely worth it IMO. S6 Lite would lag a lot switching between apps or doing just basic web searching. S9 FE doesn't. More future proof.

Traded in my s6 lite for s9fe and agree it was worth the upgrade. Then I traded my s9fe to best buy for $290 towards my ipad mini 7. No regrets

Exynos 1380 is only marginally faster than Helio G99. Its trash.

Interesting. The S7FE is worth $300 on trade, but only against the non-edu price of $399. I just need to decide if I want to trade up or hold my S7FE for another year or two. It's like third in line as a backup device, so I'll probably just wait.
Hold onto your S7FE, I have it as well. There isn't much upgrade though except for a marginally better screen at 90Hz. CPU is actually a downgrade from Snapdragon and has slightly slower benchmark.

How is that trade done with best buy?

I traded a s6 lite to s9 fe and it was a big upgrade. Happy with that.

in the same boat but per this https://nanoreview.net/en/tablet-....1-and-r.2 I am definitely not upgrading. Not spending $100 for 2 additional years of Android updates, and very marginal spec improvements, albeit smaller screen and smaller battery, which are actually important to me.
Same boat as well. Looking for better value trade in. Just a reminder that S7SE to S9SE is a screen size downgrade from 12.4 to 10.9. S9SE+ has the equivalent 12.4 screen size. I am not even sure if this is an upgrade or a downgrade from S7SE to S9FE.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 is excellent. Got one on the Metro deal and it's still available.

My s6 lite has a scratch on the screen. Will they reject it at trade-in?

Highly doubt that. They care more about creen cracks

I have traded in other devices (phones, watches) with scratches clouds, and even in one case a small chip on the edge. As oakraders510 says, they're really just looking for cracks.

I guess if you have a tab s6 lite sitting around and you also don't want to be bothered to sell it, this is...ok. For everyone else, maybe buy a refurbished tab s7 with one year warranty on ebay for $235 (from a4c) or a tab s8 for $100 more. Even a tab s7 is superior in every respect to the S9 FE.
