They are okay. Taste is good, texture is slightly more bricklike than I like. I prefer a little bit of crunch, like Fitcrunch bars or BSN Protein Crisp bars. BSN Protein Crisp bars are currently on sale at Amazon for $23.10 using the Subscribe & Save option and 10% off coupon. That's for 12 bars or $1.93 per bar. Fitcrunch bars are available at Walmart for about a buck and a half each.
I'm retired and living comfortably, so I'll buy whatever suits me. Back when I was earning a living, living paycheck-to-paycheck, there's no way that I'd pay for such extravagances.

some are very chewy (any with caramel, or just straight chocolate), while others are very easy to eat (the lemon one tops that list for me, cookies and cream and the mint chocolate ones aren't bad). macros are hard to beat at this price though (~20g protein for ~$1).

sometimes amazon ships them chucked in with non-food items (like detergent, if you have a s&s) and they're not refundable, or they'll be left on a porch on a sunny day and they get all melted, so i've had to go back and forth with them a few times to get replacements in the past

Yes, in my original post it stated the lemon and salted caramel flavors were also around $12. I don't know why that didn't translate to the edited front page deal.

Might want to pass buying these from amazon and just order them from target. Ive ordered them from amazon before and the ones I received were expired and had turned brown.

Haven't tried this flavor, but I have enjoyed their other flavors and roughly $1 a bar is a pretty decent deal.
