What's the refresh rate on the display? Found it in a review video, 60 Hz.

I am surprised to see there is not more comments on this. I'm looking for a top end non gaming business machine that I can run, python scripts, large spreadsheets, zoom calls and basic emails.

What's the pro/con between these AI 9 processors vs typical ryzen/intel processors?

the same deal was up last week and i asked basically the same question.

https://slickdeals.net/f/17854560-hp-omnibook-ultra-laptop-14-2-2k-ips-touch-ryzen-ai-9-365-32gb-lpddr5-1tb-ssd-1000-at-best-buy?attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3ATrue&src=SiteSearchV2Algo

I'm looking for the same thing and this seems really solid. I just wish it was a 2 in 1 to double as a tablet. Has Wifi7 too

All those comments are reserved for a non-touch screen i3-1215u laptop with 8GB of ram expecting it to have these specs at the $250 price point LMAO2

You and me both want to know. I just bought a laptop with a Ryzen 7 8845HS...what's the real difference* between that series and these new AI 300's? I swear AMD and Intel are trying to make all of these SKU's far more muddied than it needs to be.

*Other than your normal performance gains between generations.

I went for it. I got an open box excellent for 845.49.

Anyone think there are better deals out there with similar specs?

I wish it was a 2-1, but i don't think I'm getting these specs in a 2-1 for under 1,000.

Bought 2. Nice laptop. Snappy. I wish it had more ports but other than that it's a solid little machine.

Going off of memory here, but I believe AI performance is measured in a unit called TOPS and that Microsoft recommends at least 40 TOPS to qualify for their 'AI ready' standard for all of the Copilot features they are building into Windows 11. I believe the 8845HS can run at about 16 TOPS while the AI 9 can run at 52 TOPS.

The 8845HS also has the 780M iGPU, which was the absolute best iGPU out there, until the newest release of the 800 series. The AI 9 365 has the newer 880M, but there is an even better iGPU, the 890M.

It depends on your expectations. For an iGPU in an ultrabool, it should be incredible. But a computer with a dedicated GPU will obviously be much better (although twice as heavy with much worse battery life).

This has a Ryzen 880M, which is amazing for an iGPU. AMD has made incredible breakthroughs in iGPUs over the past few years.

Thanks for all the info. I had no idea about the "TOPS" thing. I'll have to look more into that. The 780M is actually why I gravitated to the 8845HS to begin with, it was the highest performing (what I'd consider) mainstream iGPU. In a perfect world I'd have a discrete GPU but those are pretty few and far between on touch screen laptops (especially under $1000)

Thanks again!

As far as I can tell this does not have a 360 hinge. Can anyone confirm?

No 360 hinge on this one. You're looking for "Omnibook Ultra FLIP"

Hinge is very weak compared to Lenovo and Samsung, checked in store. Using the touchscreen your finger will move the monitor.. Important for anyone that uses the touchscreen to be productive in work settings.
